CLAREMORE CHAMBER of COMMERCE TO FEATURE OKLAHOMA ATTORNEY GENERAL MIKE HUNTER

CLAREMORE, OK – On Friday, December 5, the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce, will feature Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter at their inaugural Chamber Issue Forum at the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center at Rogers State University from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. General Hunter’s topic will be An Overview of Current Legal and Constitutional Issues Involving the State of Oklahoma

As attorney general, Mike Hunter has made the safety and security of all Oklahomans one of his top priorities. Attorney General Hunter has been working to end the state’s opioid overdose and addiction epidemic and through the consumer protection unit, Hunter’s office has successfully prosecuted scam artists, shutting down their illicit enterprises. Hunter also continues upholding the values most important to Oklahomans by defending First Amendment rights and protecting religious liberties. Recently, he provided clarity on the state’s Religious Freedom Act to a school board, which ultimately allowed Cherokee students to engage in the spiritual practice of wearing eagle feathers to their graduation ceremonies.

“Recently, there have been numerous new laws and constitutional issues that affect all Oklahomans. We are looking forward to hearing from General Hunter and know he will share important and pertinent information relevant to not only business but also the general public,” said Chamber president, Barby Myers. “We are excited to welcome him to Claremore for this forum.” The Chamber Issue Forum is open to both chamber members and non-members.

Register for this event at www.claremore.org or email chamber@claremore.org. Presenting sponsor for the Chamber Issue Forum is the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority (CIEDA) and the cost to attend is $20 for chamber members and $30 for non-members.
